IMPORTANT NOTICE: ALBERTA-WIDE FIRE BAN AND OHV BAN

With the long weekend approaching we want to remind you that Alberta-wide Fire Ban and OHV Ban are currently in effect, affecting all areas within Clear Hills County and Alberta. It is crucial that we all take these measures seriously to protect our area during this challenging time.

🔥 Fire Ban: The Fire Ban entails the prohibition of wood campfires on public and private land, campgrounds, and private properties, including backyard fire pits, BBQ charcoal briquettes, the use of fireworks and exploding targets. To ensure safety, fire permits will be suspended or cancelled, and no new permits will be issued until further notice. Please refrain from lighting any kind of fire in these areas.

🛵 OHV Ban: The OHV Ban restricts the recreational use of Off-Highway Vehicles on public land, including designated OHV trails. An OHV refers to any motorized vehicle designed for travel beyond defined roadways. As we face this critical situation, it is imperative to respect this ban and refrain from operating OHVs in these areas.

🌞 Weather Forecast: We understand that the weather forecast predicts temperatures are expected to be up to 30 degrees for the upcoming long weekend. While we all yearn for outdoor activities and gatherings, it is of utmost importance to stay diligent and prioritize the protection of our surroundings during this devastating time.

Please help us maintain the safety and well-being of Clear Hills County by adhering to these regulations. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in these challenging circumstances.

Stay informed, stay safe, and let’s come together to protect our beautiful province!
