Regional Water Line

Clear Hills County operates a regional waterline that transports water from the Worsley Water Treatment Plant to the Cleardale Water Distribution Facility.

Residents are welcome apply to connect to this regional potable waterline for their residential water supply needs.

Application for Regional Water Line Tie-In

The Clear Hills County Regional Water Line is designed to first service the needs of the Hamlet of Cleardale. This is not a water line to be directly tied into rural resident use; it is a regional water line that each applicant must have their own means of water storage and provides their own water pump pressure system to be able to access this water from their storage unit.


The applicant will be responsible for any and all cost associated with the Water Line tie-in connection and curb stop valve installation over and above the $2,000.00 County contribution.

The $2,000.00 nonrefundable application fee will be applied to the overall cost of installation.

Landowner Responsibility

  • An application shall be submitted by the applicant for a Hamlet Water System tie-in connection and curb stop valve installation.
  • Payment of a $2000.00 non-refundable application fee as set out in the current Water Works Distribution and Waste Water Collection System bylaw will be required at the time of application. This fee will be applied to the installation costs for the Water tie-in connection and curb stop valve.
  • The applicant will be responsible for any and all costs associated with the Hamlet Water System tie-in connection and curb stop valve installation over and above the $2000.00 County contribution. The $2000.00 non-refundable application fee will be applied to the overall cost of installation.
  • The applicant will be responsible for all costs and works carried out from the nearest tie in point.

County Responsibility

  • Clear Hills County will install the Waterline tie-in and the curb stop valve to the edge of the County Right of Way or the entry point to private land.
  • The County will contribute a maximum of $2,000.00 (two thousand dollars) towards the installation of each approved Hamlet Water System tie-in and curb stop valve installation.
  • Water Rates and Meters prices are set out as in current Bylaw: Water Works Distribution and Water Works Distribution and Waste Water Collection System bylaw.
